First session: Story, Gems, and a four-role team

Clear Windmill Village, learn the 30 and 110 Gem payouts, and spend the first summons on missing roles instead of duplicates.

Before the first match

Join from the Roblox page, walk to the Play area, and open Story. Windmill Village is the first world. Each of its six stages pays 30 Gems on a repeat clear and x2 Meat. First-time clears are listed at 110 Gems; one walkthrough splits that 110 into the 30 Gem clear plus an 80 Gem first-time bonus.

You start with a random unit. A May 2024 beginner guide said new accounts also receive about 200 Gems. Use those on the standard banner only after you know which role is missing.

The four roles

  1. A damage unit for the main lane.
  2. An area unit for packed waves. Flame Dragon King is the usual early example.
  3. A farm unit placed early when the map gives you time. Pink Rockstar is the unit later guides keep for economy. Donut Warrior is the more common early farm.
  4. A control unit, such as Ice Dragon or Chief of Ice, once leaks start.

Upgrade the unit that covers the longest path before you fill the map with level-1 placements. In-match upgrades spend Yen earned from enemies and waves. Gold, from selling units and other modes, is the account currency used for crafting and raids.

What to ignore on day one

  • Codes, until level 8 and until the Roblox account is 90 days old.
  • Trait rerolls on Rare and Epic units. Rare units take 1 Trait Crystal, Epics take 2, and those crystals are better saved for Legendary and above.
  • Selling every Legendary or Mythic you pull. Sell prices are 2,000 Gold for Legendary and 8,000 for Mythical or Secret, but a later meta shift can make a stored unit useful.
  • Hall of Mirrors. One guide gates it at level 20, and the mode opens extra paths as more players join.

After Windmill Village

Haunted City is the next world. The community wiki notes that this map was previously called Mob City. Its stages pay 30 Gems and x2 Energy Crystal. Meat gives a unit +50 XP and drops from Windmill Village. Energy Crystal gives +100 XP and drops from Haunted City or Infinite.

Daily quests reset on a timer and, if you clear the set, pay about 915 to 1,250 Gems. Summoning quests inside that pool pay 90 Gems for 2 summons or 150 Gems for 5. Do the hourly Challenges you have unlocked; they are hard versions of Story maps with a modifier and drop Trait Crystals, Risky Dice, Frost Binds, and Star Rifts.

Done for the session

You are ready to leave the first session when Windmill Village is cleared, you have one farm unit or a plan to summon one, and your Gems are not all spent on a second copy of a unit you already use.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Anime Defenders?

Anime Defenders is a Roblox tower defense game by Small World Games. You summon anime-inspired units, place them on enemy paths, upgrade them during a match with Yen, and clear Story, Infinite, Challenges, Raids, and Hall of Mirrors.

When can I redeem codes?

The community wiki and a checked code guide both say you need player level 8 and a Roblox account that is at least 90 days old. A valid code can still fail before those requirements are met.

How much does a summon cost?

The standard banner is 50 Gems for one pull and 500 Gems for ten. A limited banner is the same, except VIP pays 40 Gems for one pull and 400 Gems for ten.

What should a new team include?

Bring one damage unit, one area clearer, one farm unit such as Pink Rockstar when you have it, and one control unit once waves start leaking. Six damage units with no economy stall on longer maps.
